Management Points

Management Points, or MPs, are the objects used within Dyband to represent network points that are shaped and monitored by the system. The following are the five basic types of Management points:

Interface:	A network adapter of a system where the Shaper is installed
Subnet:	A Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) IP address domain within an Interface domain.
Gateway:	an IP-addressable network device through which traffic passes, such as a router.
IP Address:	an IP-addressable host, system or network device where traffic terminates.
Group:	A logical entity containing any combination of Subnet, Gateway, and IP Address MPs.
