Dyband
pricing is based on two key components, License Fees, which
are one-time charges for a license of the actual Dyband software,
and Maintenance and Support, which are ongoing annual support
charges for software technical support, minor upgrades, and
patches. New customers may purchase a single License, or a
Fault Tolerant pair of licenses, of the software, as well
as an initial Maintenance and Support fee. Existing customers
can upgrade their software by purchasing additional licenses,
and paying an additional Maintenance and Support fee.
The Dyband pricing policy is summarized is shown in the table
below. Dyband uses these policies to determine the price for
your license. Please contact
Dyband for a quote specific to your requirements.
| License
Fee |
A
perpetual (one-time), non-exclusive, non-transferable
license to use the Shaper component on a single server,
and the CMon, Archiver, Miner and Profile Push on multiple
workstations. NOTE that the License Fee is made up of
the Shaper price plus the Analysis module, if that option
is chosen. |
| Fault
Tolerance |
A
Fault Tolerant configuration provides two licenses that
will only function as a fault tolerant pair, the second
license fee is 25% of the actual amount paid for the primary
license. The fault tolerant license is also perpetual,
non-exclusive and non-transferable. |
| Maintenance
and Support |
A
mandatory annual fee of 15% of the list price for the
software, that covers technical support, minor upgrades
and patches to the software. The support fee is based
on both the primary License Fee and the Fault Tolerant
license, if purchased. |
| Upgrade
License Fees |
Any
Dyband license can be upgraded to add new features, such
as Analysis, or to handle increased bandwidth. When a
customer upgrades their Dyband license, Dyband provides
them with a discount equivalent to 90% of the License
Fee(s) actually paid for the previous Dyband purchase,
the discount is applied to the new license fee level. |
| Upgrade
Fault Tolerance |
As
with the Upgrade License Fee, the Fault Tolerance upgrade
receives a discount equivalent to 90% of the Fault Tolerant
License fees, which themselves are calculated based on
25% of the primary License Fee. |
| Upgrade
Maintenance and Support |
When
a customer upgrades their license, Dyband will pro-rate
their Maintenance and Support payments for any unused
portion of the support, based on a 12-month period. For
example, if the customer purchases an upgrade 6 months
after their initial purchase, Dyband will provide them
with a credit equivalent to 50% of their original Maintenance
and Support fee. If a customer upgrades more than 11 months
after their initial purchase, no credit is available.
